Ok, it's true. We have dropped from existence for a short time, but I will now grace you all with our presence! I cannot belive how time has flown. I realize everyone is just as or more so busy than us, but man, I just cannot seem to keep up! For any of you who don't already know, Cole was laid off teaching for next year. I joked that I hoped this would happen so we could move but when it really did we have been devastated. It just comes to show that there is no real job security anymore. There are very few other teaching openings for the subjects he is endorsed to teach so for now we're looking at other alternatives and possibly pursing a masters or other endorsements. If any of you have any advice or good ideas let us know!!!:) So to make a long story short, with the prospects of selling the house, all of the unfinished projects (mind you there are many!!!) are now trying to get completed. This has kept us busy, not to mention the yard and usual homeowner joys. I think that the biggest worry is making sure that Brynlee continues to have insurance, because you all know how expensive these kiddo's can be. Not to mention if she ever looses insurance than noone will pick her up again. Oh, did I mention she's on antibiotics again for another ear infection??? It truly never ends.
So enough about our whining, here's a bit of what we've been up to. I decided a slideshow was the best way to post a lot of pictures. Do enjoy!!

First off I love all the pictures, thank you for sharing!
I am so sorry to hear that things are tough for your family right now. I hope that things work out for the best and soon!!
Loved the pictures- I know that I sent you some that I had taken with our camera- did you get them? I might need your email address again... Any way- tell Cole good luck with the job hunt- something will turn up, it always does. As for the house, I wish you better luck than us! Can't wait to see you this summer, it is coming so fast!
Yes, the pictures were adorable. I also loved the video. Nothing like a little kid behind a birthday cake. Such joy.
As for the job situation, I doubt this is close to anything you had in mind, but teachers back East are still in high demand (and what about growing areas like St George?). Anyway, I think taking on more endorsements is always a good idea as well. Good luck with everything.
Such cute pics! Your girls are adorable! Sad to hear about Cole's job. Good luck on the hunt. If you want to move to SLC - I THINK Granite has some openings, but maybe you've already checked into that. We'll be thinking of you!
Jan, I LOVED watching your slidshow :) I think I'm doing pretty good out here.......and then I see pics of family and just loose it! I hate that we are not there to watch the kids grow up together, cause you know they grow like weeds!)We miss you guys allot and appreciate all the packages you guys have sent our way, hopefully when I get my butt in gear we can do the same for the girls :) I'm sorry about Cole's job. We'll keep you in our prayer's. Love ya
It's Carolyn. I don't know if you remember me, but my husband is a teacher too. I think getting a masters is a must. My husband graduated last year and he is teaching and doing his masters right now. He is a special educator, so we don't really have to worry about a job, but it just makes for a more comfortable living. Also, I'm not sure how much Utah pays, but a national certification is a great idea. Here in Wyoming a teacher gets 4 to 8 thousand extra dollars a year. It only takes 6 months to a year to get it. Also, I agree with Liz, other states do pay more. That's why we moved to Wyoming. We could have stayed in Boise, he got a job and I had a really good job, but Wyoming just pays a ton more!! I'm not sure what area your husband teaches in, but if it is PE a masters might pay off so that he could become an athletic director of a small school district and earn more money that way. Just my two cents though.
